Armstrong Begins Production at Kronos Mine
Today Armstrong Coal announced that it has begun producing coal from its newly opened Kronos underground mine. Kronos utilizes continuous mining units employing room-and-pillar mining techniques to extract coal from the West Kentucky #9 coal seam.
