Armstrong Begins Shipping Coal from Equality Boot Mine
Today Armstrong Coal announced that it has begun shipping coal from its newly opened Equality Boot surface mine. Armstrong received its final permit allowing production to begin at Equality Boot last month and has been working on finalizing development of the mine over the past few weeks. At full capacity, Equality Boot will utilize two draglines and the truck-and-shovel mining methods to mine coal in a low cost, highly efficient manner.
